Benefits

We do not support binaries in our usenet feeds as we prefer to concentrate on providing a high quality text only service. Our service is filtered by cleanfeed.

Our high specification usenet system located in Telehouse, UK offers good retention times and exceptional speeds, which we backup with superb support.

This is a "single user" account and we do not intend for you to make this news available to more than a few (5) people on one site.

You may however suck news to a local news server and allow up to 5 people to read and post, as long as you accept liability for their postings. If you have more than 5 readers please contact us for volume licencing.

  • High Quality Text Only Usenet.
  • "Real" IHAVE peering for ADSL and Colocated Machines.
  • Any 5 hierarchies (generally excluding alt.*).
  • No download limits.

FAQ

How long are articles stored on your news server?

Instead of having cast-iron retention times, we instead have disk space limits for different (groups of) hierarchies. When these are full, the oldest articles are dropped to make room. This means that for many hierarchies, our news server can act as a useful archive, keeping articles for months.

What newsgroups to you carry?

We carry a wide variety of text-only newsgroups. Most of alt.*, the big-8 (comp.*, rec.*, sci.*, news.*, humanities.*, talk.*, soc.*, misc.*), uk.*, in fact, just about everything you could want. We also carry our own hierarchy, gradwell.*.

What if you dont carry the newsgroup I want?

If we don't carry the newsgroup you want, you can request it by contacting us.
