How to configure Fring for Gradwell Multi User VoIP
Note: As of 8th July 2010, fring now supports iOS4 multitasking on Apple iPhone and iPod touch, meaning you can receive calls even with the application in the background. We will be updating this how to guide shortly with new iPhone screenshots.Getting Started
fring™ is a mobile internet community and communication service that brings Skype®, MSN Messenger®, Google Talk™, ICQ, SIP, Twitter, Yahoo!™ and AIM® to your mobile device.
Fring also allows you to integrate your VoIP service that you have with Gradwell using the SIP protocol.
In order to use fring you will need to download the client for your mobile at http://www.fring.com , Fring supports Symbian (Nokia), Android, iPhone (Apple) and the Windows Mobile platform.
The screenshots and video below are from the Symbian (Nokia) version of the software, other platforms are configured in a similar way.

Basic Configuration
Once the application has been launched, navigate to the client option and select SIP by highlighting and pressing the Options softkey, or tapping your devices screen.

Once the Options menu has been displayed, select the Subscribe option, this will then allow you to configure the SIP account to connect to our network.


Then select Other from the list of SIP providers and complete the server information , this will allow your phone to register with our network.

You will need to enter your Gradwell extension number in the format of extension@sip.gradwell.net
You can retrieve your extension number and registration server from your welcome email or the Gradwell control panel.
You will also need to enter an Outbound proxy address, this address is nat.gradwell.net:5082
Once the details have been entered, select the Subscribe softkey, or tap Subscribe, your device will then register successfully on our network and you will be able to make and receive calls.
